Food Expo, fashion trends, home products, cosmetics, choral groups, self-help talks, and BOOKS. All in one venue. What’s not to like?
The 16th Annual 40/29 & Arkansas CW NWA Women’s Expo unfolds at the Benton County Fairgrounds April 25-26, 2026.
Compliments of the Two Friends Bookstore and Café, readers can meet and greet local authors as they promote, sign, and sell books.
Nancy Hartney is among the featured authors with her The Blue Bottle Tree. Set against the backdrop of 1970 Georgia, two women navigate the festering secrets of a small Southern town—under the iron fist of the town’s patriarch. Brought from Africa by slaves, blue bottle trees capture and hold haints, or ghosts, that can be mischievous or malicious. But can these women, one black and one white, really escape their Georgia roots? Do they want to escape?
The Blue Bottle Tree is the 2025 winner of the Oklahoma Writer’s Federation Best Published Adult Book. It is available at Pearl’s Bookstore in Fayetteville, other independent booksellers through Ingram, and Amazon.
